UAE Golden Visas

As of October 5th, 2022, UAE Authorities will implement reforms and changes to the Golden Visa scheme to attract more applicants by expanding the eligible categories eligible for a nomination. Among the new additions are professionals, specialists, and exceptional talents. The changes also extend to additional entry permits and visas to accommodate tourists, business travellers, job seekers, friends and relatives of UAE residents wishing to enter the country.

The new golden visa system will allow even more accessibility for foreign nationals to live, work, conduct business and study in the UAE without requiring a UAE sponsor.

Benefits of the 10-Year Golden Visa are as follows:

• an e-visa valid for six months (with multiple entries) is issued following nomination approval;
• a long-term, self-sponsored visa valid for 10 years;
• the ability to stay outside of the UAE for an indefinite period;
• spouses and children (regardless of age) can be sponsored for a 10 year term;
• the ability to sponsor an unlimited number of domestic helpers;
• if the golden visa passes away, family have the right to remain in the UAE until expiry of the 10 year term.

If a Golden visa holder has a driving license from one of 32 approved countries, they will automatically be eligible for a UAE driver’s license without needing extra lessons locally.

Golden visa holders are also provided with membership to the exclusive “ESAAD” privilege card which offers up to 70% in discounts the Emirates across 7,000 brands surrounding education, hospitality, lifestyle and travel and operates in 92 countries around the world.
